Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day operations of NGO-CEDAW according to its mission, internal regulations, and policies.
  • Oversee overall management and leadership of NGO-CEDAW, including the programs development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and administration and financial management.
  • Responsible for fundraising efforts, maintaining good relationships with existing donors and identifying new donors for NGO-CEDAW’s sustainable operation.
  • Responsible for developing NGO-CEDAW’s short-term and long- term strategic planning.
  • Responsible for preparing and submitting narrative activity reports, financial reports, audit reports to donors and relevant government institutions (including the Accounting and Auditing Regulator (ACAR)) as required by law.
  • Responsible for direct communication and reporting to the NGO-CEDAW’s Steering Committee (equivalent to board of directors) according to NGO-CEDAW’s by‐laws, including logistic arrangement for the meetings, scheduling, proposing agendas, and taking and sharing meeting minutes to coalition members.
  • Responsible for regular coordination of networking activities aimed at CEDAW monitoring, awareness raising, and national and international advocacy for the promotion of gender equality and better protection against women’s human rights violations.
  • Responsible for providing capacity building and mentoring to CSO coalition member and partner organizations on the topics of CEDAW, CEDAW monitoring, women’s human rights, and related laws and policies.
  • Liaise with CSO coalition members and external stakeholders, including donors, local and national governmental officials, local and international NGO partners, and media.
  • Represent NGO-CEDAW at national and international conferences, dialogues, forums, meetings, and trainings on topics related to the promotion of women’s human rights.

Job Requirements

  • A woman;
  • Cambodian Nationality
  • University degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in management, women’s human rights, social science, international relations, political science, law, or another related fields with strong knowledge in an area related to women’s empowerment and gender equality.
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in organizational management and leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of project management including project planning, designing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake advocacy at national and international levels.
  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to work with a diverse, membership-driven network and its allies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure on challenging and sensitive issues.
  • Strong ability in problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic and analytical reasoning.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and perform well under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Khmer and English.
  • Proficiency in information and communications technology (ICT) including online platforms for meetings and design.

Gross salary range: $1,880-$2,040 per month
