Job Description

  • Provide technical support in the development of the project including writing concept notes and grant proposals and engaging in other fundraising activities includes identify new potential donors and building relationships with existing donors and sponsors to secure funding for NGO-CEDAW;
  • Conduct research and provide legal analysis of Cambodian laws and data on issues related to women’s human rights for advocacy purposes;
  • Provide technical oversight, guidance, and expertise on organizational strategic development, implementation and monitoring;
  • Provide technical, coaching and capacity building supports to team members and civil society organization coalition members and partners to promote gender mainstreaming and CEDAW monitoring;
  • Maintain up-to-date information about issues relating to women’s rights and NGO-CEDAW’s activities through updating NGO-CEDAW’s website and social media, and through regular communications with civil society organization coalition members and partners;
  • Working closely with key allies and external stakeholders such as government officials, funding agencies, local and international organizations, media agencies and other professionals;
  • Perform other work-related duties to support the attainment of the NGO-CEDAW’s mission, vision and goal.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experiences working in women’s human rights and social justice and/or social movements;
  • A relevant degree in gender, social science, political science, law, public policy and women’s human rights studies;
  • Experiences and knowledge in fund raising, advocacy, legal and policies analysis;
  • Demonstrate commitment to the promotion of women’s human rights and gender equality;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse team, membership-driven network and its allies;
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and deliver assignments on time;
  • Strong coordination skills and the ability to work under pressure on challenging and sensitive issues;
  • Proficiency in information and communications technology (ICT), including various platforms for writing and editing publications and design and;
  • Excellent communication of both oral and written in English.

Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Working schedule: 28 hour per week

Salary: NGO-CEDAW provides competitive salary and benefits based on working experiences and qualifications

Contract duration: 12 months with possibility of extension

Benefits/renumeration: Thirteenth month salary, pension fund, seniority, NSSF, and health insurance
