NGO-CEDAW Team

Channeang has been the General Secretary of NGO-CEDAW since 2012. For more than 20 years, her work has focused specifically on promoting women’s human rights and gender equality. She actively lobbies and advocates for stronger legal framework and improved practices to eliminate gender-based discrimination at international, national, and local levels. She has extensive work experience in NGO leadership, project management, organizational development, fundraising, legal and social analysis, policy advocacy, and capacity building. She also holds governance leadership roles of two national NGOs, contributing to strategic planning, legal compliance, and institutional strengthening.

Chim Channeang

General Secretary

Channeang has been the General Secretary of NGO-CEDAW since 2012. For more than 20 years, her work has focused specifically on promoting women’s human rights and gender equality. Since January 2025, Angie has been providing technical support and guidance on organisational and strategic development, resource mobilisation, capacity development and legal and policy analysis. An experienced organisational development professional with a passion for mentoring and coaching management level staff and their teams to achieve their highest potential, she also brings a wealth of experience of strengthening membership networks and building collaborative working and relationships with government and other stakeholders to improve the situation for women in Cambodia. Angie has many years of experience of working on gender equality, women's rights, violence against women and children, disability and social inclusion, safeguarding and the prevention of sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse in Cambodia and the UK.

Angie Conroy

Technical Advisor

Since January 2025, Angie has been providing technical support and guidance on organisational and strategic development, resource mobilisation, capacity development and legal and policy analysis. An experienced organisational development professional with a passion for mentoring and coaching management level staff and their teams to achieve their highest potential, she also brings a wealth of experience of strengthening membership networks and building collaborative working and relationships with government and other stakeholders to improve the situation for women in Cambodia. Yary has been serving as the Network and Communications Officer at NGO-CEDAW since 2023, with a strong commitment to advancing the rights of women and girls, human rights, and gender equality. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Cambodia. Prior to joining NGO-CEDAW, she worked as a Learning and Youth Development Coordinator and Project Coordinator at the Cambodian Youth Network Association. She is a Harpswell alumna (Class of 2020) and a former Team Leader and Executive Team member of the Harpswell Alumnae Association. She also participated in the Global UGRAD exchange program at the University of Houston–Victoria, USA.

Keo Yary

Communication and Network Officer

Yary has been serving as the Network and Communications Officer at NGO-CEDAW since 2023, with a strong commitment to advancing the rights of women and girls, human rights, and gender equality. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Cambodia. Prior to joining NGO-CEDAW, she worked as a Learning and Youth Development Coordinator and Project Coordinator at the Cambodian Youth Network Association.
