The Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Tuesday charged a 34-year-old man for raping his 13-year-old stepdaughter in Sen Sok district, while another man was charged for raping his 15-year-old stepdaughter in Kratie province, police said.

Nhean Nonn, Khmuonh commune police chief said that police arrested Vong Hoeurn, a tuk-tuk driver, on Sunday.

“We arrested him after we received a complaint from the grandmother of the victim on Sunday accusing the suspect of raping the granddaughter many times,” he said.

Som Lythol, Sen Sok district penal police chief, said the suspect was brought to the municipal court Tuesday to be charged.

After his arrest, Vong Hoeurn admitted to raping the girl twice, but said he was drunk both times.
