Objective: To support targeted youth to apply their knowledge, skills, and commitment through leading awareness raising/behaviour change and advocacy actions that promote women’s rights, advance gender equality and challenge harmful gender norms.
Applicant Eligibility: Youth engaging in NGO-CEDAW projects will be eligible to apply. Priority will be given to individuals/groups that are led by young women and LGBT+ youth.
Scope of Activities to achieve the Objective: The proposed actions will be implemented as part of special advocacy and public awareness events, especially during the international women’s rights and human rights events and campaigns (International Women’s Day, International Youth Day, 16 Days Campaign, Labor Day, and Human Rights Day etc.).
Youth-led initiatives may include social media campaigns, exhibitions, peer to peer disseminations, community or university dialogues, and other creative advocacy and awareness actions that promote youth engagement in women’s rights, gender equality, and human rights.
Budget Eligibility: Proposed budget must not exceed a maximum budget of $250 for each action and applicant. The budget can cover: venue, food, refreshments and drink); and any materials to support the action.
