One person was killed and dozens were left bloodied and unconscious in the capital at around 6am yesterday morning when a vehicle swerved into oncoming traffic and slammed into a truck full of garment workers head-on.
According to police, the passengers, employees at the Colombus Apparel and Will Best garment factories, were riding in a flat-bed truck on National Road 3 in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district at the time of the accident – yet another in a long string of single and multiple-vehicle crashes involving trucks dangerously overloaded with garment workers.
